Excel from Oxbow is an excellent top of the range manufactured briquette. The fuel has been around for over 20 years and is as popular as ever due to its versatility and high quality. It can be used on multi-fuel stoves, closed appliances and on open fires. It is easy to light and gives a good heat output over a long period of time.
The briquette itself is a medium-sized almost square shape. This makes it slightly easier to light on open fires compared to the large ovoids that are available.
